Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, we have been working to a triage first model which means that all appointments needed to be managed first via telephone to establish whether face to face appointments were necessary in order to keep staff and patients safe.
From Wednesday 27th October, the practice will be allowing patients a choice of either a face to face appointment or a telephone consultation with a clinician without triage first. We want to assure patients that we have taken steps to try and ensure their ongoing safety in practice. As such we would ask that all patients who have a fever and/or COVID symptoms please allow their appointments to continue to be triaged first by phone.
When calling in to book your appointment, the receptionist will ask which type of appointment you would prefer and ask you some screening questions to ensure we can maintain safety for all patients and staff.
